In honor of our 60th anniversary, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic hosted an essay contest for current and former patients, as well as employees, that asked, “What is your favorite Kelsey-Seybold memory?”

Patient essay contest grand prize winner Kathy Jasper received an iPod, a $60 iTunes gift card, a $60 gift card to H-E-B and a $60 Shell Oil gift card for her story about her experience at our Breast Diagnostic Center and the care she received after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Employee essay contest winner Amanda Stewart, a Pediatrics nurse at our Kingwood Clinic, wrote about a 15-year-old girl who found out she was pregnant, and turned to Amanda for guidance. Amanda won a $260 cash prize for her story.

External winners were invited to lunch with Medical Director Dr. Jim Hoyle to receive their prizes. Internal winners were awarded their checks during a luncheon with Kelsey-Seybold Board Chair Dr. Spencer Berthelsen.
