Ophthalmologists are medical doctors who provide total eye care, including eye surgery. They perform comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe eyeglasses and corrective lenses, and diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the eye. Cataract removal is the most commonly performed surgical procedure.
Kelsey-Seybold’s adult and pediatric ophthalmologists provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. They diagnose, manage and treat a wide range of eye diseases and disorders, including glaucoma, cataracts and detached retinas. In addition to completing medical school, our ophthalmologists have all completed three or more years in a hospital-based eye residency program. Some of our eye doctors have also completed one or more years in a subspecialty fellowship program in addition to a residency in ophthalmology.
